DC RAIL AND HOBBY DEPOT. 2344 EMD F3AA Diesel Set (Die-Cast). Shell is in excellent condition. Only minor scuff marks from age, only very minor scratches / chips on Die-Cast metal chassis. Minor chips around main headlight (SEE PIC).

NO broken or missing parts. Rubber stamped white lettering and lighting stripes. Real metal roof screens for vents. Manual 3-Position directional unit with switch located on the undercarriage. Wheels, gears, and internal motor are in excellent shape.

Only moderate wheel wear is visible. RUNS extremely well in forward, neutral and reverse. Will require a good gear lubrication from lengthy storage. Wheels and gears move easily by hand.

Only minor scuff marks / chips from age. Front NYC decal is chipping and missing pieces (SEE PIC). Frame, Trucks, and Wheels are in excellent shape. NO ORIGINAL BOX or OWNERS MANUAL. POWERED & UN-POWERED Dummy Diesel Locomotive painted in traditional New York Central paint scheme.

Powered unit equipped with original DUAL HORIZONTAL WORM DRIVE motors that make that iconic growling sound when in operation. Original Lionel batter and horn relay has been replaced with a DEPOTRONICS SUPERHORN "relay" that operates on track power providing regulated DC current to the original horn and eliminating the need for a D cell battery. Equipped with original porthole covers. Equipped with Auto-Reversing Unit with lockout.
